off to enjoying a good dinner wif my gers tonight.. n countdown to a hopefully good year...

a serious wardrobe distress..

im serious!!

cannot even imagine rite... how on earth did i ridicule myself to a state where im seriously lacking in tops..

im racking my brains for a top to be wore to the dinner on 31st.. and came up clueless..

i have either tanks which r simply too plain or too ugly on me RITE NOW..

useless and ugly work tops becos i cant be bothered to doll up for work sake... or too many dresses but all dun seem appropriate enough...

and ended up with too many denim shorts fr e craze in tw with minimal tops to match other than t-shirts.. an additional two more lacey and furry shorts with even more no tops to match!

now im contemplating whether to rush for last min shopping.. or make do wif watever i hav in my wardrobe..

actually what im seriously lacking is the rite top to match tis festive season's fashion.. the shittiest thing ever happen is wardrobe disaster..

my 2011 new year resolution

i know!! I know what it sld b now!

my 2011 new year resolution shall be errr... to stop being a spendthrift... errr probably from the second half of 2011 onwards...

not very well done.. but at least I'm taking a step out to STOP myself from spending so much..

I seriously hope so..

so it wld mean lesser trips next yr n probably e yr aft tat.. I hope I can survive..

touching kinship

watching a tv programme on channel 8 today..

seeing e happiness on their faces when e husband n wife was once again back in their hometown after so long.. and once again reunited with the big family once again made me recalled e times that I hav wif my big fam.. although e times spent dwindled now, I still enjoy e time spent talking 2 my aunts n uncles.. e feeling is irreplaceable..
no place is happier than being surrounded by a sea of kinship..

after tis ordeal, it made mi treasure everything even more..
thanks to my dad n sis for taking care of mi all tis while..
though he's fierce on normal days, when it comes to times like tis, he reali does his best to take care..

also thanks to all e frens hu hav taken e time off to acc mi n to visit mi when u noe I've been v bored..

lagging in e sg scene..

i felt as if im already out of the orchard scene..

i din even noe that there is an ALT store recently opened in Heeren?!?!?!

it is a store that comprises of Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Hongkong etc fashion and beauty products all located under one roof.. and me being a fashion fanatic has missed tat out!! n not once, i repeat, NOT ONCE i have stepped into this store ever since it opened in July...

anyway, recently, thanks to xuan's recommendation on some makeup blogs, i hav found out abt Hope Girl cosmetics...

one blogger was recommending abt this series of makeup.. and what reali attracts mi so much is their leopard prints packaging...

Pockets Full of Posies

is an incredibly-hard-to-rem name for a restaurant..

and also a name tat ppl wont tink of taking a second look on it when searching the store directory..

this was how rong missed it and i nearly missed it when we were searching 313 store directory.. i told her e location n she saw e name.. she tot cant b tis rite.. sounds like a florist shop instead of a restaurant.. same tots crossed my mind.. but i was insistent to check it out becos i was pretty confident tats e location.. e onli doubt tat crossed my mind was "closed down already meh?" it was lucky tat i called up the restaurant to cfm...

because we were tinking of a place to celebrate for dear zhen's bday... when she suggested 313, this is e 1st place tat hit my mind.. becos the 1st time i saw it while waiting for a cab at e 313 taxi stand, i was telling xuan "hey, sg also has got swing themed restaurant.." n lamenting at e same time we din manage 2 go 2 one in tw...

i like it cos e ambience seems nice regardless of whether the food is nice or not.. n its an interesting concept.. i like swings in generally.. especially one tat is so prettied up by all e flowers...

it is in fact a florist shop that comes together with a restaurant.. cuisine is western but is quite nice...

i have to emphasize - the MASHED POTATOES are damn nice...

this is grilled set which supposed to come in sirloin steak, lamb chop, chicken chop...

but we changed the lamb chop to chicken chop which explains the mass of chicken on e plate..

the third icing cake i have done for a fren...

running out of ideas 2 design a cake.. im not very artistically talented...

plus nice waffles...

its a nice place for gathering.. but hav to call up early to book for the swing tables.. becos they onli hav like three swing tables..

my furry hat..

bought it impromptu in uniqlo during a gathering wif dear sec sch frens..

wanted to take a look at e furry trench coat xx bought in uniqlo.. ended up the hats and berets caught my eye..

i saw a very nice furry hat?? in m)phosis.. its like a hat but without the rim around it.. wanted so much 2 take a pic but e staff was looking at mi.. den i looked at e price and got stunned.. $100 over for a furry piece like tat.. no way!

so can imagine my excitement when i saw furry stuff in uniqlo.. i even want to get a furry vest there.. now tinking of it makes mi v tempted to go back n get e suede hat as well as e furry vest..

wore e furry hat n signalled to my frens who were sitting in the blue mountain cafe... they all tink tat e furry hat is nice.. also becos they haven seen e suede hat... so i gave in 2 e furry one instead becos it is the TREND for autumn season... but im gg during winter -_-

on second thoughts, i feel like getting the suede hat too...

should i or should i not...

look at the bright hot sun... i was still complaining tat e sun was so hot.. i was gg 2 melt!!

who wld hav tot what was going to happen next??

n we gers bought and carried all the things over to chalet.. FOUR of us *smirk*

i had to blog abt tis becos tis bbq declared one of e most dramatic bbq i have been 2..

n it reali proves 2 mi one fact...

xuan came prepared wif chilli padi but she forgot abt the onions..

to stop the rain from coming...

e whole day was bright and sunny...

who noe when nearing to the bbq time, clouds gathered and sounds of thundar cld b heard..

i was like uh-ohh... dun tell mi its gg 2 rain..

so shi and xuan hastily poke some chilli padi wif satay sticks (for those who dunno, stick a chilli padi through a satay stick into the ground can help to prevent rain...)

nonetheless, drizzle came... i tink its lacking e combi of onions (we forgot all abt e onions available from the satay..)

but all along i was thankful in my heart tat luckily its onli drizzling..

though the poor guys were holding e umbrellas for us throughout..

e most gan geong bbq we ever had..

tried our best to bbq as much food as possible 2 bring..

e drama came during 2nd round of cooking..

rain stopped, so we decided to cook all e food.. den lightning struck..

we were all like errrrrrrrr.. faster faster..

juz den someone said e magical sentence, 不用担心，我们终于打败了天！

believe it or not, within tat few seconds, it was reali within tat few seconds, e sky instantly thundered and downpour came!!!!!!

dear xuan who managed to escape this "disaster" stood at e door laughing like mad, still have e time 2 find her phone 2 take pic of e pathetic us instead of searching for umbrella!!!

but on e afternote, its damn funny each time i tot abt it...

of cos tat someone kena scolded by us until jialut jialut.. HA HA HA...

so lesson learnt is do not challenge GOD!

random, random

going to a very random post becos no inspiration...

so decided to post the so called most luxurious trip to genting we had so far...

we got a free room of the better hotel (cld hav been even better but too bad we r not silver member la..) in genting so an inpromptu decision made n there we were on our way to genting...

decided to try for sth different as well.. so we booked e first coach bus company we saw - Transtar..

we were lucky in a sense tat for tat nite we were setting off, i guess they hav had too little ppl so they gave us a luxurious seater...

look at how spacious it is?? even walk along e aisle also not scared will bump into anything or trip over ppl's bags lor..

and look at e huge space i have for myself..

its like e most comfortable trip i hav so far to genting..

its so comfortable until i actually felt "waa! so fast reached genting le.."

plus a whole tv to myself..

so many firsts for myself in this trip also - first time sit in a double decker to genting..

u noe wat is the shittiest thing though throughout this entire bus trip?

many many nice horror movies..

but not one i dare 2 watch becos its a NITE trip up T______T

i naively tot i cld watch my horror movies on e way back to SG.. but NO, was given a lousy bus tat dripped water cos of e rain instead...

i was darn impressed..

juz plainly becos all e stays in genting were in First World, e lousiest hotel...

its juz like a box for all e gamblers to slp, tats all..

tis is very different.. at least i felt as if like im reali having a holiday this time..

but not v holiday mood, so din reali camwhore at all T___T

 

our first day dinner there.. yummy tom yam soup..

and i totally never expect the portion to b so big until i had 2 drink 5 bowls of soup

this was not the portion of rice meant for two ppl..

this was what was left over by us after having a plate of rice each..

i felt so wasteful!

okie la, not a must try dish...

next up, we went mushroom farm (as usual) for our 2nd day dinner..

its a must go place..

becos no 1 u get 2 enjoy e cold cold wind when travelling downhill..

no 2 they hav cheap food

and lastly, they have incredibly good food also..

will u believe it if i told u mi n dear BF ate 15 eggs in total for e whole genting trip???

my v favourite dish there..

their 咕噜肉 is one of e best i hav eaten... crispy to the max.. mad love and yet not tat ex...

this is dear bf's must order dish over there.. COD FISH.. ex but still cheaper than SG i tink..

and i tink they "tok" us lor.. they purposely gave such a big piece for two ppl's portions...

weird rite?? obviously wanna "tok" us one..

our meager spread for juz e two of us... eaten until damn full..

like to go genting becos it is e next closest cold place i can juz go anytime i wan...

so if any of u gers interested, once i can get free rooms, we can consider going up together :)

Halloween at Zouk

decided to drop by zouk on the halloween nite to c how far this year ppl hav gone for their gear up..

muz say i was impressed...

ppl nowadays reali willing to go all way out to actually doll up for halloween..

i onli managed to take two sort of decent photos..

becos i was too mesmerised by the various gearup there...

i saw an entourage of Corpse Bride walking along the road to zouk wif an incredibly solemn face..

so mesmerised until i totally forgot 2 take any pic...

so all e impressive ones have gone inside, leaving mi wif tat two shots.. WAHAHAHAHA

but feeling kind of old suddenly now tat i cldnt muster such enthusiasm for halloween anymore..

but, come to tink of it, i have nv attend any halloween party before either...
