Praying Selina can recover soon

feeling kinda heartbroken from reading all the news regarding selina's burns..

as my dear frens wld noe how much i love this grp S.H.E and how long i hav been following them, never once tinking of deserting the idolism for this grp for others..

i like the friendship tat i can see between them.. the rapport between them.. how they connect to each other even though they hav came from various places from the start.. a true, sincere and heartfelt friendship i c in them that i barely can say for the same for other grps...

when i 1st read the news in the New Paper.. first tot that came into my mind was muz b a gimmick.. tis cannot be true.. how cld such a thing befall on selina... you can nv believe totally wat newspaper or magazine is writing.. for all u noe, it mite be all scam, juz trying 2 make u buy more copies back to read..

they r e luckiest ger grp i feel.. wif all the 天时地利人和 that brought them to fame..

n tis lucky ger is gg 2 get married next year.. wat kind of joke is this for a filming to go awry??

its reali funny how god likes 2 play wif humans' fate... who can fathom that when everything is gg so smoothly on tis end, it mite spell sth amiss on the other end??

when i read on the news, a sinking feeling seeps in.. yeah, wth, this is true... poor selina indeed got burnt.. u noe how newspapers always like to exaggerate their headlines... i reali tot it cld one of those moments again.. n den when u read on, u realise "chey, juz a slight burn onli la.."
then it shocked mi... 3rd-degree burns.. i was still fumbling in my own mind of encyclopedia how serious is exactly 3rd degrees burns... how come newspapers made it out to be so frigging serious like tat..
isnt 1st degree burns e worst??
my mind is always mixed up wif how we always like to play wif numbers.. like sometimes we will associate 1 being the most important hence anything serious will hav to be link with 1 so on and so forth.. n like when we wanna express how much we like sth den 5 is being associated..

tis is where i hav to thanks uncle google for help... that i can get my facts correct.. 1st degree burns to 6th degree burns.. with 1st degree being situations like sunburn and 6th degree where bones can be revealed from the burn...

so can u imagine the impact of 3rd degree burns?? they leave extensive scars...

especially for a showbiz artiste, its almost equivalent to near suicide.. OMG... now then it dawned on me why they say its a long road of recovery for her...

this is also WHERE you can see what i meant by sincere love and friendship exist between these three gers so much so that even Hebe's mum jumps out to lend a helping hand..

seriously, my heart aches.. n i am nearly in tears when reading the article..

"Jen was not so lucky. She suffered third degree burns on her arms, hands, finger, thighs and back. Skin grafts have been planned for Jen though it is unknown how these injuries will affect her career. "

why so unfair one T_______T *shakes fist*

on my own wishful thinking, i wish i can b there to lend tis pretty young lady a support, sincerely sincerely prayng tat all the skin grafting and whatever shit they r doing can restore everything back to place for her...

dedicated to my beloved S.H.E...

WIG!!

it has grown to be such an almost common phenomenon now...

in Japan, most girls had wigs on..

why?!

because its the most convenient accessory invented..

it is no longer seem as an accessory for helping ppl to cover up for their shortcomings.. it has became a fashion fad... so much so that more and more wigs are manufactured to make it look reali reali natural..

before i actually got myself a wig, i wanted one very much.. it can save mi so much trouble for tonging my hair all the time.. n possibly saving mi from dropping even more hair after all the tonging...
tink of all the time as well it can save mi from my preparation...

i tink my dear gers are very intrigued to know how exactly the feeling is like for putting on a wig.. so here's goes for some of the pics taken...

#1
ta-da - my brunette wig...
when i finally got this wig, i was reali excited..
i tried it on immed without any makeup..
as usual, it din look nice if i din hav any makeup on.. i look eccentric instead..
but also i tink my forehead is not tat high enough to accomodate the fringe part..

#2
tried with a marine cap so tat it can somewhat helps 2 cover up the fringe portion..

wearing wig turns out to be actually quite tiring on the head... i hav to scrunch up all my hair into a hair wig.. den put on the wig one.. the wig itself has an elastic band around which scrunch up my head even more..
the plus point is its reali convenient.. gone is the 30mins needed to tong my hair..
the con is i cant reali do much except to wear hats/caps.. i dun reali dare to tie it up for fear of all the curls getting tangled.. n tat it wld reali show to be very unnatural...

#3
can you believe that i went to cut my wig's fringe?? it was reali too long for my forehead..
i had no choice but to take the plunge and cut it with a lot of caution..
i din wan my wig to be ruined without wearing it out once..

#4
do you tink it reali looks natural???
the curls are damn nice and frigging long...

#5
more camwhore..

the feeling is it is reali COOL wearing a wig... its even nicer than my own hair T___T and i can finally has my long hair back...
also for temporary measure while i am still nursing my own hair back to health..
but but but, wigs dun suit sg weather at all... it gets reali hot when wearing wig for too long...
wait for the chance and i will wear it out for u gers to c...

My Ice Skating after sooo long..

yes, like after at least 7years since i last stepped into an ice skating.. probably since uni years onwards, i have nv stepped into an ice skating rink anymore..

i finally got my wish fulfilled (well, half.. another half i will come to it soon..) when my dear sisters agreed on this impromptu gathering..

it was actually spurred on when i saw sian's pics wif her frens on e rink... then i tot OMG, how long hav i last stepped onto a rink?? not that im superbly good in ice-skating.. in fact, i cant skate very well LOLLL..
i simply juz like the feeling on ice n e cool cool wind that blows when i can skate reali fast around the rink..
erhmmmm, under the help of an expert skater of cos..

i used to ice-skate very frequently back then in secondary.. where i met a bunch of guys who were pretty into ice-skating... was somehow brought into it by them cos they were fanatic of ice-skating and bowling.. somehow bowling din rub off mi well... then i realised ice-skating is a reali fun sport and most importantly, i dun even perspire :D

i envisioned back in younger days when i had no bf and i was holding tis silly crush for a guy that how nice it would be to actually skate around the rink hand in hand wif my boyfriend..
that he would be there 2 pull mi along n protect mi as we skate..
an occassional fun of teasing each other on the ice..
yes, that is my another half of wish not fulfilled...

our skates...
v long nv stand on skates.. but surprisingly, can balance pretty well on skates though wif a little trepidation..

din reali like the newly renovated Kallang ice-skating rink..
it used to be a very cosy ice-skating rink even though it was small compared to Jurong one previously..
Now that Jurong one was also closed down.. Kallang became the onli option..
it's been so long since i last stepped into a rink until such that i din even noe that kallang one was closed temporarily for renovating..
it din feel like it has been renovated.. felt tat it became dilapidated instead compared to the past kallang one..
i wish they can do sth about the deco and return the old cosiness back..

the gers laughing at mi for wearing like tat to the rink...
i am trying out this dress bought from hk last dec..
so apparently tis dress is too warm for normal weather except for such occasion...

just to show all of us in skates...

coincidentally , i found tat mayb it is reali a dream for most gers who like to ice skate that they would like to hold their bf's hands in the rink..
i was watching a korean drama recently.. e female lead brought tis guy to e rink n said out my exact tots, dumbfounding mi for the moment..
she mentioned that she has always wanted to hold the hand of the guy she likes to skate around a rink..
its hard to explain why exactly muz it be on e rink...
perhaps its juz e security that can be felt and tat u noe u can entrust ur hand 2 him in e rink as he leads u around..

its like..... a fairytale...

I AM A CHEF...

now that i have tried single-handedly to whip up some dishes...

now then that i realised cooking is reali tedious work especially for working women nowadays.. even when i wish to whip up some VERY simple dishes, the preparation time is enough to kill mi..

especially so when i woke up like 5.30am tat day not to prepare the ingredients but to accompany a fisherman for his fishing trip...

especially when i decided to take the plunge myself to cycle to and fro from bedok jetty to mac and packet back macdonalds for two fishermen all by myself... i am not trying to boast on anything.. but i am indeed very pleased wif myself for being able to cycle so far without any company tis time round... becos those who had cycled wif mi should know how shaky i am with bicycle.. i nv tot i can manage to cycle on my own without any surveillance on a busy ecp road.. least say about packing food n drinks back on the bicycle..
frankly speaking, i nearly gave up when i was left wif 1/4 of the journey to macdonalds.. becos firstly i dunno if my bicycle will get stolen if i left it outside macdonalds.. n secondly, i reali cld not imagine how am i gg to cycle wif all e food dangling on the two sides of the bicycle..

SO I REALI DID IT.. ha ha ha..

so all in all, it had been a very tiring day after all the so called exercise n basking in the sun... i still had to go back n cook...

my favourite potatoes with luncheon meat and tomato sauce..
attempted a few times..
turned out to be quite okie la..
peeled n washed the potatoes by myself..
dear BF onli helped to open the luncheon meat can -_-

my very first attempt on this black pepper chicken..
they liked it :)
and finished everything except the onions and green peppers of cos..

my failed terribly fried rice..
i dunno what exactly went wrong.. but the taste turned like "orh"(yam) rice instead of fried rice
T______T
i tried to cook my mummy's way... which is the black black one..
and i naively tot fried rice should be the simplest..
so cooking taught mi sth.. it reali needs some skills..
anyway tis dish is the one that kills mi..
makes my poor arms ache like mad.. like i hav suffered rheumatism like tat..
its a combination of cycling cum stirring rice tat caused such result..

my favourite peanut soup too..
halfway through the preparation, i hav blanched the ribs and peanuts...
when i was about to put the ingredients, it suddenly occured to mi if i sld wait for the water to boil or not before putting down all the ingredients.. i mulled to myself for reali long..
den decided i had enough waiting in case my ribs became useless aft being exposed 2 e air for too long, i threw caution to the wind and threw everything in..
they liked it too.. say e soup v nice..
i cooked in mummy's style as well.. so it means no scallops added..
i din like it v much.. somehow feel sth was still missing..
until it hit mi two days ltr that i sld put light soya sauce for added taste instead of salt!
mummy always put light soya sauce instead of juz salt...
hai.. wan 2 try again next time if i hav e chance..
but now i noe how to brew soup!!

i was worrying for the entire night the nite before that what if i bungled up the entire cooking session... after all, the last time i whipped up a series of dishes was when i had to cook for my home econs practical session..
v heng it turned out not too bad except for the fried rice.. and it was satisfying when ppl do like the food..
i found out that i do enjoy cooking.. although seriously i am v slow in cooking.. it took mi from 2pm to 6pm to prepare the ingredients and cooked onli 4 dishes..

a fren brought her red bean soup/paste along.. e critic is it's very nice!! wanna learn fr her too...

next up: i hope i can try my mapo tofu soon...

missing childhood days...

been lazy to blog recently becos super uber no inspiration...

was preoccupied wif some unnecessary 胡思乱想.. den decided 2 put those thoughts at the back of my mind and carry on wif life..

therefore no inspiration and mood to properly blog..

THEN...

out of a sudden, i was hit by an inspiration to blog as i was walking under the hot sun wif e breeze blowing on my face..

it reminded mi of my grandma's hse..

i dunno y.. but its always tat particular bright sun wif a slow breeze blowing in the middle of the afternoon that ignites the nostalgia in mi...

it brought back memories of my childhood sundays all spent at 外婆 hse... and the weather generally stayed bright and sunny wif tat slow breeze blowing into the hse when a grp of cousins gathered at her place.. it used to an uncle's hse rite next to my 外婆 hse and we had the whole corridor and the stairs landing all to ourselves..

had hopscotch, zero-point, role play like doctor, teacher, 才华横溢出新秀 etc.. u name it, we play it..
we kapo chalks fr sch, paper to make believe the game..
the onli two boys back then were even forced 2 play such games wif us gers..
we even held our own scavenger hunt consisting of gifts tat we wanna give each other..

once, i rem, we found an old washing machine wif a lot of marbles in it at the stairs landing.. we got reali excited and even had a MAJOR quarrel on who should keep the nicer marbles..

we camwhored at the stair landings..

we had our numerous quarrels as well during those times.. even can hav different groups amidst of so limited ppl.. wif qi being the leader of the main group.. i was usually the outcast by her becos somehow i did alot of silly things 2 incur e warth of her..

and we all grew up... everything changes... uncle moved away... the gatherings on sundays get less and less frequent...

i rem how much i always anticipated 2 go 2 my 外婆 hse on a sunday.. and i would pester mummy to must bring us to my 外婆 hse..
when it was near to late afternoon, i was nearly always disappointed for needing to go off so soon... sometimes played until so tired where i wld fall asleep in e bus..

i missed the feeling of squeezing wif mummy n sis on a two seater in e bus.. its heartwarming.. i missed the feeling of always wanting to climb to the 2nd deck seats...

gone were the days of no monday-blues.. gone were the days of wanting to go to the 2nd deck.. now i became so lazy and clumsy until i dun reali climb to the 2nd deck anymore..
gone were all these days when mummy and 外婆 are no longer around.. CNY became a very pointless celebration to me...

these memories became my most precious memories of my childhood..
